The project foresees the construction of a residential complex that will include commercial and public spaces. Buildings are designed to guarantee the qualification as “class A energy buildings”. Thanks to an efficient use of energy, energy conservation solutions, smart envelop, solar panels, and geothermic technologies, the residential complex is energy self-sufficient and produces a significant energy surplus that generates a revenues stream sufficient to significantly reduce residents and HOA monthly cost.
Each residential unit features small greenhouses that, while enhancing natural heating and cooling, have also the additional use of “urban garden or orchard” for an organic and sustainable living. In addition, the greenhouses contribute to the artistic installation, through mutable colored light shows generated based on climate parameters. This artistic installation is a metaphor of a mutable and infinite poetry that nature creates everyday in different ways. Public and private areas are both organized in a porous system of spaces and passages, where functions mingle and light and wind can enhance perfumes, gentle breezes and unexpected natural experiences.
