azzali house

The Azzali project is a green residential project comprised of a house, an office, and a shop. A residence that is wrapping on itself and materializing a functional diagram that clearly defines a private and a public place, and a space where the two spheres merge. This private/public place is a tilted living space/floor that can serve as a conference room for informal meetings, as well as an “extension” of the living room. The tilted floor is a functional node, the building symbolic zipper. It’s a floor that is organized on different levels, with soft sitting area, a bar zone, and a reading area. This floor is a sequence of steps “eroded” by the daily use that creates an unusual “home-theatre”.
The building distinction of functional areas with independent entrances will make it possible in the future to separately sell the three units. Construction starts in 2009.

Green Lighting

LED: Safe, Energy Efficient, Longer Life, Better Light.
LED’s consume less than half  the electricity of compact fluorecent lamps and last about ten times as long. While there’s been concerns raised about the improper disposal and recyclig of traditional lights (CFL’s) as they contain small amounts of mercury, LED’s don’t have any mercury content at all.
